Thierry Guibert Returns as Lacoste CEO After Eric Vallat Exits

Lacoste reinstated former leader Thierry Guibert as CEO following the departure of Eric Vallat, who left the company just over a year after joining.

Lacoste announced the departure of CEO Eric Vallat, who exited the company last week prior to the spring 2027 show. Vallat had joined the brand in September 2025 after leaving the Remy Cointreau Group. The company did not provide a specific reason for his exit.

Thierry Guibert has returned to the role of CEO at Lacoste. Guibert previously led the brand for a decade, a period during which Lacoste reportedly tripled in size and reached revenues approaching 3 billion euros. He currently serves as the CEO of parent companies MF Brands Group and Maus Freres Group.

Lacoste intends to maintain its current strategy of international expansion and premiumization. The brand will continue to position itself at the intersection of fashion and sports through runway offerings led by creative director Pelagia Kolotouros.
