Honda Launches CB500 Heritage Roadster in India

Honda launched the CB500 heritage roadster in India on September 21, 2026, with ex-showroom prices ranging from Rs 2.75 lakh to Rs 3.02 lakh. The motorcycle is produced domestically in India to avoid the 40 percent GST applied to motorcycles above 350cc, positioning the model between the company's 350cc range and the 650cc class.

Unlike international CB500 models that use parallel-twin engines, the Indian version features a 501cc air- and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 28 hp and 43.3 Nm of torque. The bike is available in three variants: a base Alloy version, a mid-spec Spoke variant with tubeless cross-spoke wheels, and a top-tier version featuring exclusive colors and graphics.

Standard equipment includes Honda Selectable Torque Control, a slipper clutch, two-channel ABS, and Honda RoadSync connectivity. The CB500 is the third of seven new products Honda is releasing in phases, following the ADV160 and Rebel 300. Deliveries for the alloy-wheel variant are expected to begin in October 2026, while cross-spoke variants are scheduled for early 2027.
