Flipkart and Amazon Launch Major iPhone Discounts in India

Major e-commerce platforms in India are launching aggressive pricing strategies for Apple products ahead of the October festive season. Flipkart Group announced discounts for its Big Billion Days sale, which begins October 9, with early access for select customers starting October 8. The company is offering an iPhone 17 (256GB) at a selling price of Rs 84,999, with an effective price as low as Rs 77,999 after cashback and exchange bonuses, though some reports cite an effective price of Rs 79,999.

Recent promotions from Flipkart include steep effective price reductions based on maximum exchange values and bank cashbacks from ICICI Bank and Axis Bank. These include an iPhone 17 Pro Max (256GB) with an effective price of ₹1,49,900 reduced to ₹78,573, an iPhone 17 Pro at ₹64,170, and an iPhone 16 (128GB) at ₹35,388. Reliance Digital is also competing with an iPhone 17 Pro offer at ₹56,990 through similar exchange deals.

Amazon will launch its Great Indian Festival on October 8, featuring a 10% instant discount for eligible SBI cardholders. These competitive sales follow a period of price increases by Apple in India, which some reports indicate reached 41% for certain models due to rising chip costs.
