Fox News Tops Broadcast and Cable Ratings Through August

Fox News Channel led all broadcast and cable competitors in weekday primetime viewership through August, marking its second consecutive summer at the top.

Fox News Channel maintained its lead in television ratings through August, securing its second consecutive summer topping NBC, ABC, and CBS in weekday primetime viewership. Since the start of summer, the network averaged 2.6 million weekday primetime viewers, surpassing NBC's 2.5 million, ABC's 2.3 million, and CBS' 2 million.

The network also outperformed its primary cable competitors. In August, Fox News averaged 1.4 million total day viewers, while MS NOW averaged 599,000 and CNN averaged 439,000.

Fox News held 13 of the 15 most-watched cable news programs, with "The Five" and "Jesse Watters Primetime" leading the rankings. Additionally, "FOX & Friends" remained the top cable news morning show for the 66th consecutive month, outdrawing the combined viewership of CNN and MS NOW.
