Genesis Launches 2027 GV60 Magma High-Performance Electric Crossover

Genesis Motor North America launched the 2027 GV60 Magma, the first model under the brand's new Magma performance sub-brand. The electric crossover features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system and an 84 kWh battery, delivering up to 641 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque in Boost Mode. To enhance driver engagement, the vehicle includes a Virtual Gear Shift, Drift Mode, and e-Active Sound Design Plus for simulated engine sounds.

Design enhancements include a wider stance, a lower ride height, 21-inch forged wheels, and aerodynamic upgrades such as front bumper canards and a winglet-style rear spoiler. While it shares its core architecture with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, the GV60 Magma differentiates itself with a 27-inch OLED display, a Bang & Olufsen audio system, and premium cabin materials. Available colors include Magma Orange, Uyuni White, Vik Black, and Makalu Gray Matte.

Reports on pricing vary, with one source citing a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $69,950 and others stating the starting price is $71,495 including destination fees. The vehicle is expected to arrive at select retailers in California, New York, and New Jersey in the coming weeks.
