Israeli Military Operations Cause Mass Casualties in Gaza and Lebanon

The Cabinet of Israel continues military operations across the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, utilizing air strikes, shelling, and naval fire. In Gaza, local authorities report 1,334 deaths and 4,429 injuries since October 10, 2025. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East reports that at least 220 of its employees have been killed since October 2023.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs warns that funding shortages and restrictions on essential materials, including spare parts and engine oil, now threaten critical healthcare, sanitation, and water services. Christian Saunders, the acting commissioner-general of the agency, warned that international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions risk becoming irrelevant as impunity prevails.

In Lebanon, the UN Interim Force in Lebanon recorded 32 air strikes and frequent airspace violations, including drone activity near Al Mansuri. During these operations, Israeli forces detained a UN patrol for two hours northeast of Kafer Chouba. The UN Children's Fund has called for an end to the killing, stating that every child must be protected.
