JD Vance Addresses Republican Jewish Coalition Amid Israel Tensions

Vice President JD Vance is scheduled to participate in a closed-door fireside chat on Monday evening during the Republican Jewish Coalition's annual National Leadership Summit at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. The appearance comes as Vance seeks to assuage concerns among conservative Jewish activists and major GOP donors regarding his skepticism toward the Israeli government and his ties to commentator Tucker Carlson.

Critics within the coalition have pointed to Vance's claims that certain Israeli officials manipulated American public opinion to prolong the war with Iran, as well as his criticism of the Israeli cabinet for attacking the United States. Some pro-Israel conservatives, including coach Bruce Pearl, have conditioned their support on Vance distancing himself from Carlson, who previously hosted Nick Fuentes.

The summit, which runs from Sunday to Tuesday, aims to strengthen ties between Republican leadership and the American Jewish community. Other featured speakers include Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, and U.S. Senators Dave McCormick, Jim Banks, and Tim Sheehy. U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson and Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee are providing remarks via video, while the event also includes a tribute to the late Senator Lindsey Graham featuring a video from President Donald Trump.
