Kristina Knickerbocker Flips Ohio's 10th Congressional District

Democrat Kristina Knickerbocker defeated 12-term Republican incumbent Mike Turner to win Ohio's 10th Congressional District in the November 5, 2026, election.

Democrat Kristina Knickerbocker defeated 12-term Republican incumbent Mike Turner to win Ohio's 10th Congressional District in the November 5, 2026, election. Knickerbocker, a U.S. Air Force veteran and nurse practitioner running in her first political campaign, received 49.3% of the vote, while Turner received 47.7%. Libertarian candidate Tom McMasters took approximately 3% of the vote.

The victory flips the district to Democratic control for the first time since 2003. Knickerbocker performed strongly in Montgomery County, though Turner maintained leads in Greene and parts of Butler counties. Analysts attribute the upset to a broader blue wave, voter dissatisfaction with the status quo in Washington, and the negative impact of other Republican candidates on the ticket.

Turner, who has represented the Dayton area since 2002, issued a statement wishing Knickerbocker success. The Office of the Ohio Secretary of State is expected to certify the results within 21 days.
