Ilham Aliyev Announces Expanded Strategic Partnership with China

President Ilham Aliyev announced on July 14 that the comprehensive strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China has significantly intensified cooperation across the political, economic, and transport sectors. Speaking at the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, Aliyev highlighted the growing presence of Chinese companies in Azerbaijan, specifically regarding major infrastructure and renewable energy projects.

Aliyev noted that all solar panels currently installed in Azerbaijan were manufactured in China. To further this transition, a Chinese firm is now establishing a solar panel manufacturing plant within the country. He also identified the joint production of electric buses with the Chinese automaker BYD as a key achievement in the bilateral relationship.
