ZTE Debuts AI Factory and 6G Prototypes at MWC Shanghai

ZTE Corporation introduced a GPU-intensive AI factory, a new AI operating system, and 6G connectivity solutions during the MWC Shanghai 2026 exhibition.

ZTE Corporation announced the launch of its full-stack AI capabilities and 6G connectivity advancements at MWC Shanghai 2026 on June 26. According to the company, these developments are designed to integrate artificial intelligence directly into network infrastructure to enhance capacity and spectral efficiency.

ZTE detailed a TCO-optimal AI factory featuring a SuperPod solution capable of supporting 16,000 GPUs, alongside an AIDC solution focused on energy-efficient operations. To support this hardware, the company introduced NewStart AIOS as a foundational operating system for the AI era and debuted Co-Claw, an enterprise-level agent platform integrated into its hardware terminals.

In the realm of connectivity, ZTE presented a GigaMIMO solution and the first 256 TR U6G prototype. The company stated that these 6G prototypes represent a significant step toward a more intelligent network architecture.

Industry analysts suggest these announcements position ZTE to compete more aggressively in the global 6G race and the growing demand for high-compute AI infrastructure. By coupling energy-efficient AIDC solutions with massive GPU scaling, ZTE aims to lower the barrier for enterprises adopting generative AI, potentially shifting its market position from a hardware vendor to a comprehensive AI ecosystem provider.
