BJP Loses Strongholds in Bihar and Madhya Pradesh Bypolls

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut claims that the Bharatiya Janata Party's losses in the Bankipur and Datia by-elections signal a decline in the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In Bankipur, Bihar, Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor won a long-term BJP stronghold by 19,324 votes, defeating Neeraj Kumar.

In Datia, Madhya Pradesh, Congress candidate Ghanshyam Singh defeated the BJP's Ashutosh Tiwari. Raut attributed these losses to public dissatisfaction over the NEET-UG paper leak protests and an embezzlement case involving donations for the Ayodhya Ram Temple, stating that voters rejected the party's arrogance.

Despite these losses, the BJP won the Majalpur seat in Gujarat, where Satendrabhai Patel defeated Congress's Bhikhabhai Rabari by 30,630 votes.
