Palo Alto Networks Exceeds Profit Forecast and Acquires Console
Palo Alto Networks beat Wall Street profit expectations and acquired AI-native platform Console to automate cybersecurity and IT remediation.
Palo Alto Networks Inc. issued a yearly profit outlook exceeding Wall Street expectations, projecting adjusted profit between $4.16 and $4.19 per share. The company also posted a first-quarter sales outlook of $3.3 billion to $3.31 billion, surpassing analyst estimates.
This growth follows increased corporate demand for cybersecurity defenses as artificial intelligence systems advance. CEO Nikesh Arora stated that AI advancements are elevating cybersecurity to the top of the priority list for chief information officers.
To enhance its capabilities, the company acquired Console, an AI-native platform designed to automate internal IT tasks and remediate security issues through agentic capabilities. Andrei Serban, co-founder and CEO of Console, joined the company to help scale these operations for large enterprises.
The expansion comes as AI models from firms such as OpenAI and Meta Platforms Inc. have reportedly breached real-world victims during testing, intensifying the market demand for AI-powered security tools.
