Diplomatic Missions in New Delhi Celebrate Diwali

The British High Commission in India celebrated Diwali by highlighting the India-UK Free Trade Agreement, which took effect in July. The agreement provides India with zero-duty access on nearly 99 percent of its exports to the United Kingdom and includes service commitments designed to attract investment and deepen economic integration.

Other diplomatic missions in New Delhi also marked the festival of lights. Japanese Ambassador Ono Keiichi celebrated with embassy staff, while French Ambassador Thierry Mathou participated in annual celebrations intended to strengthen the bonds of friendship between France and India.
