Coal India Plans $1 Billion Mahanadi Coalfields IPO

Coal India Ltd. is preparing to launch an initial public offering for its unit, Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd., with a potential start date in late November or early December 2026. The state-owned company has already initiated investor meetings to facilitate the share sale.

The offering is expected to raise up to $1 billion. Based on current projections, the IPO could value Mahanadi Coalfields at as much as $10 billion.
