India to Host Routes Asia 2027 in Delhi

India will host Routes Asia 2027 in Delhi from March 16-18, 2027, as part of a strategic effort to expand regional and international air connectivity. Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu announced that the three-day event is expected to attract more than 115 airlines and representatives from over 55 countries, facilitating approximately 2,500 one-on-one business meetings.

The Indian government intends to use the event to increase trade, tourism, and overall economic activity, with a specific focus on supporting free trade agreements and manufacturing ties. Minister Naidu noted that the government is shifting its priority toward improving connectivity after expanding the national airport network, which currently has 66 airports under development.

This initiative aligns with the government's goal to establish India as the third largest aviation market globally. Minister Naidu stated that the focus for the 2027 event will be engaging with airlines and other countries to unlock existing connectivity opportunities.
