Iran Strikes Oil Tanker and Launches Drones Toward Kuwait

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched a series of aggressive actions on Thursday, striking an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz and deploying drones toward Kuwait. In Kuwait, national air defense systems intercepted the hostile Iranian drones, an event that triggered emergency sirens across the country.

In the Strait of Hormuz, an oil tanker caught fire after being hit by an Iranian projectile. A spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility, asserting that the vessel was one of three tankers "incited and tempted by the US military" to pass through the area. The group claimed it maintains control over the waterway and declared a victory over the United States.

United States Central Command refuted the Iranian claim of control over the Strait of Hormuz. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps further warned that such actions by the U.S. would result in "greater discredit and the irreparable defeat" for American forces.
