Furniture Stop UK Closes After 12 Years of Business
Furniture Stop UK has entered creditors' voluntary liquidation and shut down its website following a period of poor customer service and retail instability.
Furniture Stop UK, an online furniture retailer operating since November 2014, has ceased trading and closed its website. The company entered creditors' voluntary liquidation following a winding-up notice approved on October 6.
Nicola Meadows and Mark Newton of AABRS Limited were appointed as joint liquidators to manage the company's closure. The collapse follows a period of significant customer dissatisfaction, evidenced by a Trustpilot rating of 1.3 out of 5, with customers reporting poor service and undelivered items.
The closure of the retailer is part of a wider trend of instability within the United Kingdom retail sector throughout 2026. Other brands, including Claire's, Quiz, and Zavvi, have also entered administration or liquidation during this period.
