First American Financial Reports Third-Quarter Earnings Results

First American Financial Corp. reports third-quarter results amid a residential refinancing slump and growth in commercial real estate transactions.

First American Financial Corp. reported its third-quarter financial results on October 21, 2026. Analysts expected earnings per share of $1.82 on revenue of $2.11 billion, a sequential decline from the company's second-quarter performance.

The Santa Ana-based title insurer, which holds a 23.3% market share, continues to face a challenging environment. High interest rates have suppressed residential refinancing activity, leading investors to monitor whether growth in commercial real estate transactions can offset the residential slump.

CEO Mark Seaton noted that the company is seeing "improving market conditions, particularly in the commercial market." Despite slight downward revisions in estimates from firms such as Barclays, Truist Securities, and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, all six analysts covering the stock maintain a Strong Buy rating with a mean price target of $85.
