Honda will invest 3.3 billion reais to increase its Brazilian motorcycle production capacity to 2.3 million units by 2029.
Honda will invest 3.3 billion reais, approximately $602.2 million, by 2030 to expand its motorcycle production capacity in Brazil. The funding focuses on the company's Manaus complex, where it plans to add two new production units.
This expansion aims to increase annual capacity from an expected 1.6 million units this year to 2.3 million units by 2029. The Manaus facility currently produces 20 models for the Brazilian domestic market and exports to 19 countries, including Mexico and the United States.
This latest funding follows a 1.6 billion reais investment the company announced in its Brazilian motorcycle business last year.
