China Reports 11.7 Billion Dollar Trade With Kyrgyzstan
The Government of China reported bilateral trade with Kyrgyzstan reached 11.7 billion dollars in early 2026, driven by electric vehicles and green technology.
The Government of China remains the largest trading partner and primary source of foreign investment for Kyrgyzstan, according to data from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. Bilateral trade totaled 11.7 billion U.S. dollars during the first seven months of 2026, with growth led by mechanical and electrical products and the new three exports: electric vehicles, lithium batteries, and photovoltaic products.
Chinese direct investment in Kyrgyzstan exceeded 2 billion U.S. dollars by the end of July 2026. These investments are primarily concentrated in the energy, mining, agriculture, and infrastructure sectors.
On a broader regional scale, China reported that trade with other Shanghai Cooperation Organization members reached 523.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2025, with direct investments in those nations totaling 3.3 billion U.S. dollars. The Chinese government intends to expand trade liberalization, digital trade, and supply chain cooperation within the organization's framework.
