George Akume Orders Federal CEOs to Promote Tinubu Reforms

Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume directed chief executive officers of federal parastatals to communicate the reforms and achievements of President Bola Tinubu's administration to the grassroots. Speaking in Abuja on Friday, Akume stated that the effort is necessary to counter widespread disinformation suggesting that government policies are intended to impoverish or imprison Nigerians.

During the meeting, the Forum of CEOs of Federal Parastatals announced a goal to mobilize 10 million votes for President Tinubu's 2027 re-election through ethical and issue-based engagement. The group seeks to bridge the communication gap between government policies and the public.

To support these objectives, Permanent Secretary Dr. Chidiebere John Ezeamama proposed the creation of a centralized digital platform and a work-related communication network. This system would allow agencies to track milestones and share information with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation in real time.
