Ondas and Palantir Launch Regna AI for Sovereign Defense

Ondas Inc. and Palantir Technologies Inc. announced the formation of Regna AI on October 12, 2026. The new standalone private company, initially wholly-owned by Ondas and powered by Palantir, develops mission-specialized, fine-tuned AI models that allow governments and institutions to maintain total control over their data infrastructure.

Regna AI is designed to remove dependence on commercial frontier models by enabling sovereign environments. The platform specifically supports operations in denied, degraded, intermittent, or limited connectivity conditions, focusing on intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems such as ground vehicles, stratospheric balloons, and drones.

Ondas will act as the first customer, using the models for autonomous mission orchestration on the edge. Palantir provides the model-training infrastructure and delivery support through its Artificial Intelligence Platform. Executives from both companies emphasized the necessity of sovereign control, with Palantir's leadership asserting that AI trained on mission knowledge outperforms general frontier models.
