Iran Rejects US Claims Over Civilian Targeting

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei rejected claims from the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) that the U.S. military does not target civilians. Baghaei challenged the assertions made by CENTCOM spokesperson Hawkins, arguing that the reality of U.S. military actions is horrifying.

To support his position, Baghaei cited documented U.S. attacks in Afghanistan and Iraq between 2002 and 2008. He specifically identified strikes in Kakarak, Mukaradeeb, Deh Bala, and Wech Baghtu as evidence of civilian casualties, including women and children.

Baghaei further referenced a fictional drone strike on a wedding in Pakistan from the television series Homeland to argue that such events reflect a reality that contradicts official U.S. military narratives.
