Dubai to Host 24th Arab Media Summit and Silver Jubilee

The Arab Media Award will celebrate 25 years of journalistic excellence during the Arab Media Summit in Dubai from September 15 to 17, 2026.

The 24th Arab Media Summit will take place from September 15 to 17, 2026, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event will feature the silver jubilee of the Arab Media Award, marking 25 years of promoting journalistic integrity and excellence across the Arab world.

Originally launched in November 1999 as the Arab Journalism Award, the initiative was rebranded in 2021 to incorporate visual and digital media. To date, the award has distributed AED 22.1 million in prizes to 359 winners and honourees across 33 categories, drawing more than 82,460 entries. The upcoming celebrations aim to address the ethical and technological challenges of the modern media landscape.

Lebanon's Minister of Culture, Ghassan Salame, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address. The summit expects to convene approximately 10,000 media professionals, content creators, and academics, alongside 200 prominent international media figures. The event is held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the guidance of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
