WISeSat.Space Integrates Post-Quantum Cryptography With $10 Million Investment

WISeSat.Space is integrating post-quantum cryptography into its satellite and IoT architecture following a $10 million investment led by SEALSQ Corp.

WISeSat.Space announced a strategy to integrate post-quantum cryptography (PQC) into its satellite communications and Internet of Things (IoT) architecture. The initiative aligns with U.S. Executive Order 14412, which requires federal information systems to transition to NIST-approved security to defend against future quantum-computing threats.

To fund the development, the company closed a $10 million PIPE investment led by its sister company, SEALSQ Corp. WISeSat.Space will utilize SEALSQ's Quantum Shield QS7001 and QVault TPM platforms to secure satellite command integrity, critical infrastructure monitoring, and government communications.

The company currently operates nine low-earth-orbit satellites and ground stations in Switzerland and Spain. Its long-term objective is to deploy a sovereign constellation of 100 satellites by 2033.
