Ilham Aliyev Opens Mattress Plant and Inspects Olive Orchards

President Ilham Aliyev conducted a series of economic inspections and inaugurations in Aghdam on November 7, focusing on agricultural expansion and industrial diversification. During the visit, Aliyev inspected the Aghdam Olive Enterprise, which has established an orchard of 1,150 hectares containing over 700,000 trees. The facility is designed to produce 10,000 tonnes of olives or 2,000 tonnes of olive oil each year.

Aliyev also received updates on walnut production managed by Agroinkishaf 2017 LLC in the Shaki and Oghuz districts. This initiative includes a processing plant in Oghuz with an annual capacity of 10,000 tonnes.

In the industrial sector, Aliyev inaugurated an orthopedic mattress manufacturing plant operated by Komfy LLC within the Aghdam Industrial Park. The 2.5 million manat project, which received a 700,000-manat loan guarantee from the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund, has an annual capacity of 130,000 mattresses. The facility introduces roll-pack compressed packaging to Azerbaijan to reduce transportation costs and support export efforts.
