Fox Corp Revenue Hits $4.21 Billion Following World Cup Broadcast

Fox Corp reported a 28% increase in fourth-quarter revenue to $4.21 billion, driven by advertising from the Fifa Men’s World Cup.

Fox Corporation reported a 28% increase in revenue to $4.21 billion for the fiscal fourth quarter, surpassing analyst expectations of $3.64 billion. Total revenue for the 2026 fiscal year rose 5% to $17.13 billion.

Growth was primarily driven by a 78% surge in advertising revenue from the broadcast of the Fifa Men’s World Cup. Advertising from match hydration breaks alone is estimated to have exceeded $500 million, potentially covering the entire $485 million cost of the broadcasting rights. Fox Corp acquired those rights through a private, no-bid extension, a deal reportedly structured to avoid legal action following scheduling conflicts during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Other contributors to the company's financial performance included the streaming platform Tubi, the launch of Fox One, the acquisition of Roku, and increased political advertising. CEO Lachlan Murdoch attributed the results to the World Cup broadcast and strategic streaming expansions, stating that the company is "exceptionally well positioned to drive sustained growth and long-term shareholder value" entering fiscal 2027.
