The Government of India and the Federal Government of Russia are holding the fifth India-Russia Army Land System Sub-Group meeting in New Delhi from August 4 to 7, 2026. Operating under the India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation, the two nations aim to advance industrial and technological cooperation while strengthening their bilateral defense partnership.
Lieutenant General Rahul R Singh led the Indian delegation, while Major General Tufekchi Aleksandr of the Russian Ministry of Defence headed the Russian delegation. The meeting follows a July 8 session focused on counter-terrorism, where both nations agreed to cooperate against violent extremism, radicalization, and terror financing.
