Berkshire Hathaway Increases Stake in Homebuilder Lennar
Berkshire Hathaway increased its investment in homebuilder Lennar to 12.2% while chairman Warren Buffett spends his evenings watching diverse non-financial content on YouTube.
The conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway increased its investment in homebuilder Lennar on October 1 and 2, 2026. The company purchased 2.415 million shares for approximately $192.6 million, bringing its total stake in the homebuilder to 12.2% with a total value of $2.2 billion.
Separately, chairman Warren Buffett has developed a routine of watching diverse video clips on YouTube nearly every evening at his home in Omaha. According to viewing companion Sharon Osberg, Buffett's interests include 1930s Frank Sinatra performances, 1950s commercials, documentaries on Roy Cohn, and the Uzbekistan version of America's Got Talent.
While Buffett watches content from Berkshire Hathaway and clips of his late partner Charlie Munger, he rarely uses the platform for finance or investing. This habit aligns with a broader trend in the United States of viewers shifting from traditional streaming to short-form video clips on televisions.
