Japan and Australia Establish Annual Finance Ministers Dialogue
Japan and Australia signed a memorandum of understanding to create an annual finance ministers dialogue to strengthen economic security and Indo-Pacific growth.
The Government of Japan and the Parliament of Australia signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday to establish an annual finance ministers dialogue. The agreement remains effective for five years and focuses on deepening cooperation in financial and economic policy while strengthening bilateral collaboration on economic security.
The dialogue aims to address the connected economic and security futures of both nations. According to Japanese Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama, the two countries "will work together to promote stable economic growth in the Indo-Pacific region and around the world."
