Persimmon Homes Secures Approval for 400 New Didcot Homes
Persimmon Homes Wessex received planning permission to build 400 new residences as part of the larger Valley Park development in Didcot.
Persimmon Homes Wessex and its sister company, Charles Church, secured planning permission for the next phase of the Valley Park housing development in Didcot. The approved plans allow for the construction of 400 new homes, with Persimmon building 306 units and Charles Church building 91. An additional 109 homes are allocated for a housing association.
Each new residence will include an electric vehicle charging point. The development phase also incorporates public open space and cycle parking. Once fully completed, the broader Valley Park scheme is expected to provide 4,254 homes, two primary schools, a special educational needs school, and various community facilities.
Seb Spiller, Managing Director of Persimmon Homes and Charles Church Wessex, stated that the project is a major driver of jobs and housing for local people. He noted that the development will contribute to education, sports, and community spaces in Didcot, aiming to leave a positive and lasting legacy.
