Bahrain Strengthens Regional Alliances Following Iranian Aggressions

The Government of Bahrain has intensified its diplomatic and security efforts to protect its sovereignty following recent Iranian aggressions. During the 2026 Harvard Arab Conference in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Bahrain's Ambassador to the United States, Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa, detailed the kingdom's mobilization of military and security resources. He highlighted the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) with the U.S. and UK as a cornerstone of the nation's strategic partnership and noted Bahrain's role as president of the United Nations Security Council, specifically the adoption of Resolution 2817.

Simultaneously, Bahrain hosted a high-level diplomatic visit from Jordan. King Hamad received Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, praising the steadfast support and solidarity shown by King Abdullah II and Jordan following the Iranian attacks. Crown Prince Al Hussein reaffirmed Jordan's condemnation of the aggressions and supported Bahrain's measures to maintain security.

Furthering these ties, Crown Prince Al Hussein also met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The two leaders reviewed bilateral relations and discussed regional developments impacting international security, emphasizing shared aspirations and mutual cooperation across various sectors.
