Agility Robotics Selects NVIDIA Compute for Digit 5 Robot
Agility Robotics will use NVIDIA IGX Thor modules exclusively for its Digit 5 humanoid robot and plans to go public by late 2026.
Agility Robotics announced that its Digit 5 humanoid robot will exclusively use NVIDIA IGX Thor modules as its onboard computing platform for the general availability version. This decision expands an existing partnership that integrates NVIDIA Halos safety platform elements into the robot's human detection system.
To ensure operational security and reliability, the company will use the NVIDIA Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab to evaluate cybersecurity, AI components, and safety software prior to third-party certification. Early access to Digit 5 is scheduled for the first half of 2027, with broader availability for distribution, manufacturing, and warehouse operators following six to nine months later.
Parallel to these technical developments, the company is preparing to go public through a business combination with Churchill Capital Corp XI. This transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.
