Tiffany Moore Russell Wins Orange County Mayoral Runoff

Tiffany Moore Russell won the Orange County mayoral runoff election with 63% of the vote, defeating Republican Chris Messina.

Former Clerk of Courts Tiffany Moore Russell won the nonpartisan runoff election for mayor of Orange County, Florida, on November 4, 2026. She secured approximately 63% of the vote, defeating Republican businessman Chris Messina, who received 37%. Moore Russell succeeds term-limited Mayor Jerry Demings and intends to focus her administration on expanding transit options, increasing housing stock, and investing in infrastructure and public safety.

In concurrent elections, voters selected five Democratic candidates to the County Commission: Kamia Brown, Johanna Lopez, Mike Scott, Patricia Rumph, and Victor Torres. Following a previously approved charter amendment, the board will expand from seven to nine voting members when the new officials are sworn in next month.

The District 3 commission seat will become vacant following the resignation of Mayra Uribe, who left the post to run for mayor. That specific vacancy will be filled through a gubernatorial appointment.
