Google to Launch Pixel 11 Series at August 12 Event

Google will unveil the Pixel 11 smartphone series, Pixel Watch 5, and Pixel Tag on August 12 in New York City.

Google will host its Made by Google event on August 12, 2026, in New York City to debut the Pixel 11 smartphone series, Pixel Watch 5, and a new item-tracking accessory called the Pixel Tag. The smartphone lineup includes the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The event will be hosted by Trevor Noah and livestreamed on YouTube and the Google Store.

The new devices will feature the Tensor G6 processor, reportedly the first smartphone chip built on TSMC's 2nm process, and a transition to MediaTek modems to improve connectivity. A prominent design addition is a multi-colored RGB LED notification system integrated into the camera bar, referred to in leaks as both Pixel Glow and HiLight. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is expected to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, featuring an 8-inch inner display.

Google is implementing a price increase of approximately $100 across the lineup, with the base Pixel 11 starting at $899 and the Pro Fold reaching $1,899. Vice President of Devices and Services Shakil Barkat attributed these hikes to a global memory chip shortage driven by AI data center demand. To justify the cost, Google is eliminating the 128GB storage tier, making 256GB the new baseline. Pre-orders are set to begin on August 12, with most devices shipping around August 20, though the Pro Fold may not arrive until October.
