Intel Reports Strongest Revenue Growth in 15 Years
Intel reported a 25.4% revenue increase to $16.13 billion in the second quarter, driven by a strategic focus on CPUs and a $5 billion NVIDIA investment.
Intel reported its strongest revenue growth in 15 years during the second quarter, with revenue increasing 25.4% to $16.13 billion. The company has beaten earnings estimates for seven consecutive quarters as it focuses its strategy on the x86 CPU franchise, advanced packaging, and a U.S. wafer foundry network.
A $5 billion investment from NVIDIA served as a significant catalyst for the company. NVIDIA also selected Intel's Xeon 6 as the host CPU for its DGX Rubin NVL8 AI systems. These developments contributed to a year-to-date stock surge of over 200%, bringing the share price to $112.38.
Despite the growth, the company faces ongoing operational challenges. Intel reported quarterly foundry losses of approximately $2.1 billion and continues to manage potential supply shortages of memory, substrates, and wafers.
