Public Partners With Kalshi to Launch AI Trading Agents
Public introduced AI trading agents in partnership with Kalshi to automate investment strategies based on real-world event data.
Investing app Public partnered with prediction market Kalshi on Wednesday to launch AI trading agents that execute automated strategies based on real-world events. The new product allows users to instruct AI agents to monitor prediction market data, such as regulatory approvals or Federal Reserve rate decisions, and execute trades or send alerts based on investor-approved rules.
Kalshi provides the event contracts and handles the trade execution, while Public integrates these markets into its platform. The initiative is part of a broader strategy by Public to transition into an agentic brokerage, moving beyond the model of discount brokerages by automating routine portfolio management tasks.
To maintain security, the platform requires users to review and approve a visual plan of the AI's rules before any trades are executed. Cofounder and co-CEO Leif Abraham stated that AI agents can perform work for investors by monitoring markets when they are not looking at a screen and executing strategies that a human might not be physically able to perform.
