SoCal Strategies Deletes Online Presence Amid Fraud Probe

Polling firm SoCal Strategies deleted its website and social media after investigations revealed potential identity fraud and fabricated survey data.

The polling firm SoCal Strategies deleted its website and social media accounts on October 22, 2026, after investigations questioned the authenticity of its surveys and the identity of its leadership. The polling aggregator FiftyPlusOne reported data discrepancies and discovered that Jack Sims, who registered the business in Florida, may have fraudulently used the name and profile of Wilson Rochford to conduct business.

Records indicate Sims dissolved the business entity in May 2026, yet the firm continued to release polls for several months. In response to these findings, FiftyPlusOne removed two SoCal surveys from its database and ceased aggregating the firm's data, citing an inability to verify legal information about the business or biographical details of the people involved.

This collapse follows a pattern of polling fraud in the United States. Wedgewood Polling recently admitted it was a fictional entity that fabricated data as a social experiment, impacting the campaigns of Francesca Hong and Mallory McMorrow. Earlier in the year, a third firm, Median Strategies, also admitted to fabricating survey data.
