Bitdeer Pivots Mining Sites to AI Data Centers
Bitdeer Technologies Group is converting Bitcoin mining facilities in Ohio, Norway, and Washington into AI data centers to target $2 billion in annualized revenue by 2026.
Bitdeer Technologies Group announced a strategic expansion into artificial intelligence data centers on October 15, 2025, causing its shares to surge nearly 20% in premarket trading. The company plans to convert large-scale Bitcoin mining sites into high-performance computing and AI infrastructure in Clarington, Ohio; Tydal, Norway; and Wenatchee, Washington.
Bitdeer expects the Tydal site to be completed by late 2026, while the Clarington facility is projected to be operational by the first half of 2027. To support this transition, the company is securing procurement agreements for Nvidia GB300 and B300 systems. These AI facilities are projected to reach an annualized revenue run rate exceeding $2 billion by the end of 2026.
The pivot follows growth in the company's Neo Cloud GPU and AI services, which hit $8 million in annual recurring revenue in September. Chief Business Officer Matt Kong stated that the company has chosen to expand its direct role in the market, which includes negotiating with potential tenants and hiring in-house experts.
