Poland Declines to Provide Patriot Missiles to Ukraine
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski announced Poland cannot supply Patriot interceptor missiles to Ukraine due to limited national resources.
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski announced that Poland is unable to provide Patriot interceptor missiles to Ukraine, citing a lack of available resources. Sikorski noted that while some NATO allies still possess the capacity to contribute, Poland does not. He attributed the current shortage of interceptors to a surge in demand following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran in February, while observing that Russia is producing missiles faster than Ukraine and its allies can neutralize them.
Sikorski expressed support for the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump to end the conflict, though he argued that pressure should be increased on the aggressor rather than the victim of aggression. He urged other countries possessing Patriot missiles to share them with Ukraine.
Additionally, the Foreign Minister stated that Poland intends to revisit the allocation of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine. However, he indicated that he does not expect an agreement on the matter to be reached before winter.
