Nvidia Raises AI Server Prices by Over 15 Percent

Nvidia is increasing prices for AI servers featuring Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin chips by more than 15 percent starting early next year.

Nvidia Corp. is increasing the prices of its artificial intelligence servers by more than 15 percent in many cases, with the hikes taking effect on systems shipped early next year. The price increases specifically affect systems featuring the Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin chips, though final costs will vary based on chip generation and memory configurations.

Contract manufacturers have already notified major data center operators, including Microsoft Corp., Alphabet Inc.’s Google, and Oracle Corp., of the upcoming changes. The price hikes are driven by soaring costs for dynamic random access memory (DRAM), which has granted significant leverage to memory chip makers Samsung Electronics Co., SK Hynix Inc., and Micron Technology Inc. as global demand for AI infrastructure continues to outpace supply.

While major customers such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Meta are developing in-house chip programs to reduce their dependency on the semiconductor giant, they remain reliant on Nvidia for current data center build-outs. These cost increases add further complexity to AI infrastructure projects that are already facing capital market tightening and labor shortages.
