La Martiniquaise and Dandurand Acquire Lamb's Rum for C$39.2 Million
La Martiniquaise-Bardinet and Dandurand acquired the Lamb's rum brand from Corby Spirit and Wine to split market rights between North America and international regions.
The spirits group La Martiniquaise-Bardinet and Canadian wine company Dandurand have agreed to acquire the Lamb's rum brand and its associated assets from Corby Spirit and Wine for C$39.2 million (US$28 million). The transaction, executed through Maison des Futailles and Glen Turner Company, divides the brand's rights between North American and international markets.
Corby Spirit and Wine, which is majority-owned by Pernod Ricard, initiated the sale to simplify its portfolio. The company intends to redirect capital toward premium spirits and ready-to-drink beverages. Corby and its affiliates will provide temporary transition support for production and distribution following the deal's completion.
La Martiniquaise-Bardinet, a subsidiary of Cofepp, stated the acquisition aligns with its strategic objectives and follows its recent purchase of the Cacique rum brand and a stake in Warner's Distillery.
