Founder and CEO Michael Dell has become the fifth richest person in the world with a net worth of $262 billion. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, his wealth increased by approximately $122 billion over the past year, nearly doubling his previous standing.

This financial surge is driven by the artificial intelligence boom, which established Dell Technologies as a leader in AI infrastructure. The company reported record revenue of $47 billion in its Q1 fiscal 2027 results, highlighted by a 757% increase in AI-optimized server revenue, which reached $16.1 billion.

Dell's wealth growth is tied to his 40% stake in Dell Technologies and investments managed through his private firm, DFO Management. His recent gains have outpaced other technology billionaires such as Jeff Bezos and Larry Page, while Mark Zuckerberg experienced a decline in net worth during the same period.
