Elias argued that the United States is facing severe systemic challenges, specifically citing a 40 trillion dollar national debt, an unprecedented income gap, and the rise of infectious diseases. He asserted that current leadership focuses on stoking division and hatred instead of addressing these crises.

In his letter, Elias specifically targeted the MAGA movement for promoting an "us versus them" mentality. He called for the removal of "con artists" from office, advocating for the installation of humble and intelligent leaders who represent diverse working-class needs rather than the interests of corporate lobbyists.
