Russian Missile Strikes Kill Three Across Kyiv and Kharkiv

Russian forces launched successive attacks on Kyiv and Kharkiv, killing three people and damaging critical infrastructure, including a medical center and transport links.

The Military of Russia conducted a series of strikes against Ukrainian cities on October 21 and 22, resulting in at least three deaths and dozens of injuries. On October 21, an attack on Kyiv's Sviatoshynsky district ignited a fire on the 20th floor of a high-rise building, killing two people and injuring two others. Additional damage was reported in the Desniansky district, where seven parked cars caught fire, and in the Solomiansky district.

On October 22, Russian forces launched a massive ballistic missile attack on Kyiv, firing between 20 and 30 missiles. This wave of strikes injured 15 people, including two children, and severely damaged critical infrastructure. The attack forced the complete shutdown of the South Bridge, disrupted subway operations, and struck an emergency medical center, destroying six ambulances.

Simultaneously, Russian forces targeted Kharkiv and 11 surrounding settlements over a 24-hour period. These strikes killed one woman and injured 15 others, including three children. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Synehubov confirmed the casualties and the scale of the emergency responses across both regions.
