Mohan Yadav Launches Indore to Abu Dhabi Flight Service
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav flagged off the first international flight from Indore to Abu Dhabi to boost trade and tourism between India and the United Arab Emirates.
Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, flagged off the state's first international flight service on Wednesday, connecting Indore to Abu Dhabi. The service is operated by Air India Express and will run four times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
The new direct route reduces travel time from approximately 8 hours via connecting flights to roughly 3 hours and 15 minutes. This initiative is a key component of the Madhya Pradesh Civil Aviation Policy-2025, which aims to increase investment, tourism, and trade between Madhya Pradesh and the United Arab Emirates while providing better access for the region's NRI population.
To support the expansion of aviation infrastructure, the state policy includes capital subsidies for maintenance, repair, and overhaul projects, reduced VAT on Aviation Turbine Fuel, and Viability Gap Funding for new routes.
