Meta Platforms Releases Muse Spark 1.3 AI Model

Meta Platforms Inc. released Muse Spark 1.3, its most powerful artificial intelligence model to date. The update introduces improved coding and agentic capabilities, enabling the model to complete complex tasks on behalf of users more effectively.

Chief AI Officer Alexandr Wang stated that the model is competitive with Anthropic's Claude Fable 5.1 and outperforms OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol in coding tasks. Developers can access the model through the Meta Model API at the same price as the previous version. Meta plans to integrate the update into Facebook, Instagram, and Meta AI shortly.

While the company continues to develop a larger model called Watermelon, it has not yet decided whether to release the weights for Muse Spark 1.3. However, Meta still intends to release the weights for the previous Muse Spark 1.2 version.
