Amazon Launches Bee AI Wearables for Real-Time Transcription
Amazon unveiled the Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse AI listening devices designed to record, transcribe, and analyze conversations in real time.
Amazon.com Inc. introduced two personal AI listening devices on Thursday, the Bee Frontier and the Bee Eclipse. The Bee Frontier is a wearable priced at $74.99 that can be clipped to clothing or worn on the wrist, while the Bee Eclipse is a $99.99 credit-card-sized device that attaches magnetically to smartphones.
Both devices record and analyze conversations in real time to generate summaries, memory recaps, and actionable to-do lists. The hardware stems from Amazon's July 2025 acquisition of the San Francisco-based startup Bee. To address privacy concerns, Amazon stated the devices utilize a private computing architecture that processes and deletes raw audio immediately, ensuring that "no one, including Amazon, can access your data."
Users can opt for a Bee Pro subscription at $11.99 per month for unlimited summaries and integration with Alexa+, Amazon.com, and third-party productivity apps. The Bee Frontier is available for purchase immediately, with the Bee Eclipse scheduled for release soon.
