Israeli Forces Kill Five in Gaza and West Bank

The Israel Defense Forces and border police killed five people in Gaza and the West Bank on Monday and Wednesday, continuing a streak of 328 consecutive days of ceasefire violations. In the Gaza Strip, an airstrike in the Jabalia refugee camp killed 16-year-old Ahmad Ismael, while Hazem Hatem Marshoud was fatally shot at the Halawa displacement camp. The military identified two other targets killed in Gaza as Hamas terrorists, including Talal Mustafa Saleh Badawi, a commander from the Military Security Department of the Gaza City Brigade. The military stated these individuals had operated to rehabilitate organization capabilities in violation of the ceasefire.

Simultaneously, Jerusalem District Border Police killed three individuals during an overnight operation in the West Bank village of Bayt Rima. Police reported that undercover officers infiltrated the village to arrest troublemakers, leading to a clash that resulted in the deaths of three people identified as posing a danger to the forces.

These escalations persist despite a July 31, 2026, announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding a second-phase roadmap agreement. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reports that 1,326 Palestinians have been killed since the October 11 ceasefire took effect, bringing the total death toll since October 7, 2023, to 73,462. United Nations agencies report that an ongoing Israeli blockade continues to restrict essential food, fuel, and medical supplies to the region.
