Palestine Action Expands Global Campaign Against Israeli Arms
Palestine Action has expanded its direct action tactics globally, targeting Israeli weapons supply chains despite terrorist proscriptions in the UK and US sanctions.
The UK-based group Palestine Action has expanded its direct action campaign globally, targeting the supply chain of the Israeli weapons industry through physical disruptions. The movement has inspired offshoots in Canada, Italy, France, Spain, Ireland, and the Netherlands, with similar groups emerging in Germany and the Czech Republic.
Recent operations include raids on an Elbit Systems subsidiary in Canada, the blocking of Safran Data Systems headquarters in France, and the interception of a military cargo ship by Global Sumud Flotilla Italia. Activists have also occupied offices and spray-painted corporate headquarters to disrupt military logistics.
State authorities have responded with significant legal and financial pressure. The Government of the United Kingdom proscribed the group as a terrorist organization in July 2025 and has arrested at least 4,000 linked individuals. Additionally, the Federal government of the United States imposed sanctions on the organization in August 2026. Cofounder Huda Ammori argues that this repression demonstrates the effectiveness of their strategy to disrupt the Israeli war machine.
